Lessa Lamb
Lessa has been building her audiobook portfolio since 2014, and finally took on narration as her full-time work in 2017. She has been honing her skills in narration as a hobby for many years, and was thrilled to be able to turn it into a profession.
Lessa has always held a fascination for how people speak, and has spent probably hundreds of engrossing hours in conversation and research around what makes different people actually sound different. She believes this gives her reading, especially dialog narration, a unique flare. She spends time crafting each character’s voice based on vocal reference and personal experience; in addition, of course, to character notes from the text itself, and especially conversation with the creator of the character, where possible.
Her aim, always, is to read a story the way an author heard it in their own head while writing it. Lessa's ultimate goal as a narrator is to render the content in so enthralling a manner that even its original creator becomes completely engrossed in listening to the story.
